As a social visitor, you will be matched with a husband and wife who are in need of companionship. They long for conversations and connections with others, and your visits can bring light and warmth into their week.

Regular visits from volunteers like you can help to improve the quality of life for people like them, reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.

This is a great opportunity to use your listening skills and empathy to make a real difference in someone's life.

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

How You Can Help

Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability. We would be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.
