Job Description

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Supply Chain Operations Coordinator to join our team at Rio Tinto in Brisbane, QLD.

About the Role

This is an exciting role that will see you support several categories within the Aluminium Business Unit. You will work closely with and provide analytical, commercial, and administrative support across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories.

You will be responsible for managing reports, providing support for end-to-end supply chains, managing day-to-day operations, sourcing projects, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, time management skills, and the ability to articulate complex solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and management of reports aligned to individual reporting requirements.
  • Providing analytical, commercial, and administrative support across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories.
  • Supporting implementation of end-to-end supply chains.
  • Managing execution and day-to-day operations of the supply chain (scheduling, coordinating, communicating, monitoring etc).
  • Support global procurement raw materials and by-products categories with sourcing projects, category and contract management tasks.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or above).
  • Proven time management skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Excellent skills in applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to articulate and present complex end-to-end supply chain solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in collaboration platforms, such as Sharepoint, Teams etc.
  • Experience in Power BI and SAP is desirable but not essential.
