Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Manager to spearhead our training initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs and strategies to support the achievement of our organisation's strategic objectives.

This includes ensuring high-quality, efficient training is provided, sourcing and managing external resources, contributing to continuous quality improvements, and ensuring compliance with relevant occupational health and safety requirements.

As a key member of our team, you will lead and manage a team to achieve corporate training objectives and undertake timely and effective performance evaluations for direct reports to monitor and develop the training team.

You will work closely with managers to ensure appropriate training staff are available for all areas of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough training needs analysis for all staff and ensure the provision of high-quality, flexible, and appropriate training is provided across all areas.
  • Design, plan, implement, and evaluate training initiatives to meet strategic and operational requirements.
  • Develop and implement relevant training materials which may include e-learning packages, self-paced learning packages, videos, and resource libraries.
  • Implement and maintain training information systems and audit processes with sites to support the organisations compliance with policy, legislative, and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage, evaluate, and improve the training programs.

Requirements:

  • A qualification related to Human Resources or Training is essential. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
  • Experience working within the not-for-profit sector would be beneficial.
  • Ideally you will have experience of managing small teams and be able to demonstrate the ability to design, develop, and implement training packages, manage training budgets, negotiate effectively, and implement innovative training solutions.
