The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Geologist to join our mining team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing detailed geological and grade control information to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and interpret geological and structural data to support mine planning and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain mineral resource models, grade control systems, and geological databases.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of monthly grade control underground tonnes and grade.
  • Plan and supervise effective grade control and resource development programs.
  • Provide guidance to geological personnel to support their respective accountabilities.
  • Commit to maintaining health, safety, and security standards and principles.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology.
  • Mine Geologist with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and team participation skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work processes.
  • Proficient use of mining software (Surpac, Vulcan, Leapfrog, or Deswik).
  • Data management and QAQC reporting.
  • Project management and completing feasibility studies.
  • Awareness of Open Cut and Underground Mine design requirements.
  • Understanding and application of relevant sections of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
