Senior Botanist Role

We are seeking a Senior Botanist to contribute to our high-performing Ecology team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Ecology Lead and NSW Environment Team Lead on specialist ecology and major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing expert ecological advice on complex projects
  • Maintaining a sustainable pipeline of work through business development and brand awareness
  • Providing technical oversight and quality assurance on ecology deliverables
  • Offering NSW ecology advisory services to the wider environment team and interstate ecology team
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, ecology or related field
  • Extensive relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising project aspects and managing resources
  • Experience in leading an ecology team, preferably in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Strong capability in biodiversity field assessment, with skills in plant identification and vegetation assessment desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise in ecological impact assessment
  • BAM Accreditation
  • Strong client focus and ability to manage commercial aspects
