Ecological Restoration Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Restoration Specialist to join our team for Central Coast & Newcastle.

The role involves all aspects of on-ground ecological restoration, including conservation and land management.

About the Role:

This is a key position within our team, requiring a high level of expertise in ecological restoration and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ecological principles and be able to apply this knowledge to develop and implement effective restoration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-ground ecological restoration tasks, including habitat rehabilitation and vegetation management
  • Develop and implement effective restoration strategies, taking into account local ecosystems and community needs
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in ecological restoration

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 days availability, 5 days preferred
  • White Card
  • Current drivers' licence (preferable manual) and own transport
  • Certificate in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent field experience

Desirable:

  • AQF3
  • First Aid certification
  • Chainsaw Operation Ticket
