Strategic Supply Chain Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Procurement Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of Council's Stores function, ensuring value for money and cost savings.
The role involves managing procurement and stores operations, implementing and maintaining policy commitments, developing strategies to improve procurement processes and supply chain management, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide procurement advice and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimise procurement and stores operations to deliver maximum value.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide procurement advice and support.
- Proven experience in procurement and stores management, with strong cost control and record keeping skills.
- WorkCover WH&S Construction Induction (White Card) certification.
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
- Class C Driver Licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proven numeracy skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of WH&S principles.
