Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our stores function, as well as driving a consistent approach to sourcing, purchasing and tendering activities.

• Procure goods and services in accordance with our procurement policy;
• Manage the Stores function to ensure value for money and maximise cost savings;
• Sources and purchases materials, equipment and supplies in accordance with our purchasing procedures;
• Co-ordinate and manage tenders and quotations for goods and services;
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and work programs for the Stores function;
• Monitor and report on the performance of the Stores function, including compliance with legislative requirements and organisational policies;
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders;
• Perform other duties as required.

We are looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

• A sound understanding of procurement and stores management principles, with proven cost control, record keeping and computer skills;
• A WorkCover WH&S Construction Induction (White Card);
• A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience;
• A Class C Driver Licence;
• Demonstrated effective communication (interpersonal, written and oral) and customer service skills;
• Proven numeracy skills;
• A knowledge and understanding of WH&S.
