About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of People Communications to join our team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies that promote and protect our company's reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute internal and external communications strategies to build and maintain a positive reputation for Virgin Australia
  • Lead the design and implementation of communication plans to engage employees, stakeholders, and the wider community
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage and maintain the company's internal and external communication channels, including social media, email, and intranet
  • Develop and implement crisis management plans to mitigate reputational risk
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on communications and reputation management
  • Lead and manage a team of communications professionals to achieve business objectives
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in internal and external communications, with a focus on reputation management
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications strategies
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior leaders, employees, and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
