Job Description

Virgin Australia is seeking a highly experienced and strategic communications professional to lead our internal communications efforts. As the Head of People Communications, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage and inform our employees, while also promoting and protecting the company's reputation internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to build employee engagement and awareness of company initiatives
  • Manage and maintain the company's internal communication channels, including email, intranet, and other digital platforms
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication of company messages and initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze internal communication metrics to inform future strategy and improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on effective communication practices and protocols

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, with a focus on employee engagement and reputation management
  • Proven track record of developing and executing effective internal communication strategies
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
