Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking leader to spearhead our administrative team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing business operations and collaborating with staff, the community, and external stakeholders.

About the Role:

  • You will establish effective human resource management practices, providing strategic oversight and management of buildings, facilities, and assets.
  • Foster positive communication with various stakeholders, including Department of Education representatives, parents, teachers, education assistants, P&C, outside businesses, and community groups.
  • Manage school finances, requiring a strong financial management background and expertise in budget planning and forecasting.

About Our Organization: We are a welcoming and supportive school located near the beach with an enrolment of about 490 students. Our school emphasizes community involvement, cross-school interaction, and parental engagement, and has an active School Board and P&C.

Location and Community: Port Hedland is a coastal town in the Pilbara, offering access to the Indian Ocean, desert landscapes, and regional attractions. The area provides opportunities for outdoor activities and exploring local culture and nature.

Eligibility Criteria: Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
