We are seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to provide vital administrative support during a peak period. This short-term opportunity is ideal for someone with previous experience in a tax or accounting firm, particularly those confident liaising with government agencies and handling company documentation.
This role will involve managing a range of admin tasks, particularly those related to communications, company statements, and compliance documentation. You'll be the go-to person for coordinating client files, submitting statements, and making follow-up calls with clients and government agencies.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit statements through government systems
- Liaise with government agencies to arrange payment plans and follow up on queries
- Manage company statements and general compliance documentation
- Provide admin support to accountants and partners
- Handle inbound/outbound calls and assist with client file management
- Maintain accuracy of documentation and client information
- Requirements:
- Experience in a public practice accounting or tax firm
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills – especially over the phone
- Familiarity with government systems such as statement submission platforms
- Ability to hit the ground running in a busy, professional office environment
