Portfolio Engineer Job Summary

This position involves a challenging and rewarding role in delivering technical solutions to our customers.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Portfolio Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding managed services support teams, managing customer IT infrastructure, and providing technical advisory resources during major incidents.

  1. Proactively manage customer IT infrastructure to ensure it meets their requirements and aligns with our service catalog deliverables.
  2. Mentor and coach other team members to develop their support engineering, troubleshooting, and other specific skills.
  3. Work collaboratively with the monitoring team to ensure best practice monitoring configurations are setup and proactively notify the team on any issues.
  4. Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledgebase articles.
  5. Technically lead the onboarding of new customers and new services to the support teams.
  6. Design and implement Virtualization, MS Windows Domain, Azure IAAS, Office365, Security, and backup services as per current industry best practices.
  7. Perform presales and scoping works as needed based on new requirements from your customer bunch or new improvements that you identify being a PE on the account.
  8. Ensure swift handover of projects to operations Teams and provide high-level training if required.
  9. Undergo Vendor Trainings or complete self-study to address skill gaps and attain certification as directed by business.
  10. Travel to customer sites for project-related work if required.
