Senior Patient Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care within our Trauma Stream and designated clinical units at The Alfred Hospital.
This exciting new role will provide opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as the chance to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal. They will also have the ability to display flexibility within their work practice and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Bachelor of Social Work or recognised equivalent
- Experience in an acute and/or subacute hospital setting is preferable
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and with families, exhibiting initiative and facilitative qualities
- Knowledge of NDIS, Aged Care services and TAC funding models will be advantageous
- Knowledge of working within an Electronic Medical Record will be required for this role
