Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in a Part-Time capacity with hybrid working options. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our payroll operations during this implementation project and further into the future for the company, making a meaningful impact on the business.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee outsourced payroll until the transition is complete.
  • Manage four payrolls (fortnightly and monthly), encompassing 250 employees across three businesses and multiple states.

Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure payroll operations align with company policies, auditing procedures, and legislation.
  • Manage ATO and superannuation payments with full compliance.
  • Handle end-of-month payroll reporting and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Employee Support:
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and managers, ensuring clear and timely resolutions.
  • Manage novated leasing for employees, including setup, calculations, and liaising with leasing companies.
  • Oversee time and attendance requirements for the fortnightly blue-collar workforce.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • Employment Hero system experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience in a multi-site/project/heavy industry organisation highly desirable
  • An ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A high attention to detail with good organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
