About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Digital Infrastructure Engineer - Data Center Operations to join our team. As part of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining critical facilities infrastructure and delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers.

The position offers full training and onboarding, ensuring that all responsibilities are thoroughly taught and developed. With a focus on meeting customer requirements, this position provides a dynamic and challenging environment for individuals to kickstart their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and Configure Network Devices: Install and configure network devices, including rack and stack of equipment such as routers, servers, switches, and firewalls from various brands like Cisco, Juniper, F5, Super micro, HP, Microsoft, and Oracle.
  • Provide Remote Technical Support: Provide remote technical support via phone calls, email communications, web applications (Cisco WebEx and Team viewer), etc., for emergency network outages and troubleshooting of network equipment, switches, and servers.
  • Monitor Network Activities: Monitor network activities, including alert reports, error reports, and network performance statistics; report to ensure uptime and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Assess and Recommend Customer Solutions: Assess and recommend customers on better ways to enhance network operations and integrated hardware/software.
  • Prepare Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation of customer network inventory, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions to issues.
  • Maintain Work Records: Maintain proper records of work operations, events, and logs to produce concise reports to company management.

What We Are Looking For

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to complete all training and onboarding.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Commitment to teamwork and collaboration, including participation in 24/7 roster.
  • Positive Attitude and Continuous Learning: Positive attitude and willingness to continually learn and evolve in the role.
  • TAFE NSW Certification or Equivalent: Completion of TAFE NSW certification in IT or Telco-related course.
  • Fiber Optics Knowledge: Hands-on experience or understanding of fiber optics.
  • Customer Service Experience: Customer service experience highly regarded.
  • NV1 Security Clearance: Ability to attain and maintain NV1 Security Clearance.
