Digital Preservation Specialist

Lead a team to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the digital preservation of local archives.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing skills, policies, infrastructure, and workflows for managing digital content in collaboration with national and local services.
- Develop and Implement Digital Preservation Capacity: Lead the development of digital preservation capacity in the local archive sector.
- Provide Strategic Support: Provide strategic support to develop skills, policies, infrastructure, and workflow procedures for managing digital content.
- Foster Collaboration: Foster collaboration between national and local services for efficient digital delivery.
- Advise and Support: Advise and support museums and libraries in managing born digital and digitized collections.
Working Requirements:
- A strong understanding of digital preservation principles and practices is essential.
- Experience in developing and implementing digital preservation strategies is required.
- Excellent communication and project management skills are necessary.
- Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across sectors.
