Field Service Heavy Duty Mechanic Role


We are seeking a skilled Field Service Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team based at Mt Thorley in New South Wales. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on our mobile fleet in the field and workshop areas.


Key Responsibilities



  • Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Trade Qualification
  • Extensive experience with CAT and Komatsu equipment, including engine, powertrain, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work safely unsupervised, with a focus on delivering real value to our customers and the wider BTP Group
  • Australian Permanent Work Rights
  • A valid Australian Drivers Licence, with HRWLs such as forklift, rigging/dogging highly regarded
  • Ability to meet all site access requirements, including a Full Pre-Employment medical and National Police Clearance
