Overview

Newhaul Road Logistics is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team in Geraldton, Western Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of Mack and Volvo on-road heavy multi-combination vehicles.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, based on experience, plus benefits including $35,000 AUD retention bonuses over 5 years, superannuation paid on all hours worked, quarterly team productivity bonuses, and access to employee discounts.

Job Description

This is a preventative maintenance and repair role, focusing on ensuring the best possible equipment availability and utilisation. A typical day may involve:

  • Maintaining equipment in line with manufacturing specifications and statutory requirements;
  • Diagnosing faults safely, accurately, and efficiently;
  • Reporting new issues or faults to management;
  • Managing work orders and responding promptly to driver and workshop repair requests;
  • Completing required workshop documentation, paperwork, and in-system data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Cert III in Heavy Mobile Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology;
  • A valid C Class Driver's licence (minimum);
  • Competency with service and repairs to heavy duty multi-combination trucks and trailers;
  • Strong team values and interpersonal skills.
