About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer to join our team at FIS Australia. As a key member of our global technology team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting EKS, MSK, CI/CD infrastructure for a major banking client in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Advocate for best design practices to ensure operational excellence and efficiency
  • Deploy and enhance components of our ecosystem, including container services, load balancers, firewalls, and monitoring tools
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for AWS, EKS, and Kubernetes deployment and operations
  • Maintain ongoing improvement of processes and best practices to meet security, cost, and agility requirements
  • Contribute to and maintain design and process documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar publicly facing support role managing high availability applications/platforms
  • In-depth experience in deploying AWS, EKS, MSK, and Kubernetes
  • Experience in utilizing scripting languages to automate build and deployment activities
  • Knowledge of Terraform Enterprise (TFE) and associated technologies
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and manage workload to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve issues and provide outstanding service
  • Driven and dedicated approach to work with a desire to grow and develop and strive for excellence
