Life Sciences Support Role

The University of Suffolk seeks a skilled Laboratory Technician to support the running of life science laboratories and provide technical assistance to students and staff. The successful candidate will have relevant academic qualifications and experience working in research or teaching laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organising, preparing and delivering practical sessions
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Provide technical support to students and staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree/HNC in a relevant life science subject
  • Experience working in research or teaching laboratories
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively within a small team

About the Team:

You will be joining a team of dedicated technicians working across the School of Health, Sciences and Society, with a focus on Life Sciences. You will report to the Senior Life Sciences Technician, and work closely with the School Manager, Head of Life and Sport Sciences and academic course teams.
