We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual from the First Nations community to join our team as a Maintenance Officer.

What we are looking for:

  • A strong desire to contribute your skills and expertise to our business
  • Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives
  • A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value
  • Open to all experience levels including labouring, fencing, vegetation management or equivalent.
  • Current NSW driver's licence.
  • Ability to implement safety and emergency plans and procedures
  • Boat License where water operations are required

What you will work on:

  • Ensure all activities are undertaken with the safety of people as the number one priority and at all times role model safe behavior
  • Undertake dam surveillance, water quality sampling, on-site water deliver operations on water storage and distribution assets and service related functions to complete operational requirements.
  • Undertaking surveillance and monitoring of water supply assets
  • Meet emergency policies and procedures and participate in water infrastructure activities
  • Ensure the accurate capture, storage, update and review of data required for the maintenance management system

We are responsible for providing essential human services, particularly in relation to water supply. As NSW's primary bulk water supplier, river operator and comprehensive provider for licensing, water trades and water information, we take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes to our customers.
