Davidson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy and Strategy Manager to join their team on an initial contract basis, with a genuine potential to become an ongoing position.

As a senior and critical member of the organisation, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and Managing a Team: Leading and managing a team to deliver high-quality policy advice, analysis, and support.
  • Providing Strategic Guidance: Providing leadership, guidance, and recommendations on strategic policy matters.
  • Engaging with Stakeholders: Actively engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, building effective partnerships.
  • Preparing Complex Briefings: Preparing complex briefings, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting Business Outcomes: Supporting the management of divisional and business outcomes.

About You

Possessing a relevant qualification in law or policy, your previous policy experience, preferably in government, will provide you with the necessary skills to make positive and immediate contributions to this role.

You will have demonstrated experience in a relevant strategic role, preferably within government, along with an ability to acquire and understand complex information and views quickly. You will also pride yourself on your ability to seek and deliver industry best practice results and thrive working in a busy environment where the priorities can change.

Further, your values will align to those of the organisation, being integrity, honesty, and collaboration.
