Key Role: Automotive Workshop Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our busy workshop team. As Automotive Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including staff management, customer service and sales.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-performing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also have a strong technical understanding of mechanical repairs and diagnostics, with experience in training and coaching junior technicians.

A key aspect of this role is building strong relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners. You will need to demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a hardworking and enthusiastic team
  • Provide exceptional customer service and sales support
  • Develop and implement effective operational procedures
  • Monitor and manage store budgets and KPIs
  • Perform mechanical duties as required
  • Train and coach staff members
  • Allocate jobs to technicians
  • Order stock and parts
  • Cash handling and opening/closing the store

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified mechanic or equivalent
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing a busy workshop or similar environment
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong technical understanding of mechanical repairs and diagnostics, experience in training and coaching junior technicians
