We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Depot Operations Coordinator at Northline's Townsville depot. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot and contributes to the success of our team by overseeing daily administration and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Management: You will be responsible for completing administrative tasks such as data entry, manifesting, report generation, and compliance with checklists to ensure all operational processes are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Financials: As a Depot Operations Coordinator, you will manage branch finances, including monitoring the Branch Pallet Account, handling Accounts Payable, and ensuring timely processing of carrier invoices, Purchase Orders, and General Ledger (GL) reports.
  • Reporting & Analysis: You will generate and review key reports such as Daily Load Reports, Weekly Lane Analysis Report (LAR), In-Depot Reports, and Weekly Branch Reports to ensure accuracy and revenue maximization.
  • Customer Service: Providing a prompt, efficient, and friendly service to all drivers, visitors, and customers entering the depot, ensuring site safety instructions are provided when necessary.
  • Operational Support: Supporting areas of Rail and Fleet management, direct management such as container control, country manifesting, deliveries & subcontractor relations, and CSO functions as required.
  • Employee Onboarding: Assisting in training and ensuring all team members are aware of safety protocols.
  • Communication: Building and maintaining good working relationships, acting as a liaison between all depot departments - Warehouse, Operations AM/PM, and ensuring clear and effective communication regarding operational matters and challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement within administration processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational efficiencies.

Estimated Salary: AU$ 70,000 - AU$ 90,000 per annum

About the Role:

As a Depot Operations Coordinator, you will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our depot. You will be responsible for managing branch finances, generating reports, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting and financial performance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of the national freight industry and the ability to navigate operational challenges effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-centric approach with a proven ability to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Organisation: Proven experience working with KPIs and targets, with strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with company-specific software (S2, SitePass, InControl) is highly regarded.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in data entry and financial processes. Ability to multitask and assist the team where needed.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of literacy and numeracy.
