Job Description

The role of an Industrial Hygienist involves industrial hygiene monitoring at facilities, incorporating planning with Corporate and stakeholders.

OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE PROGRAMS implementation includes silica, formaldehyde, PIV operation etc. Responsibilities include IH annual planning meetings, IH monitoring in accordance with plans, ensuring legal and compliance.

A day in the life:

  • Lead IH Asia and Corporate meetings.
  • Conduct IH monitoring as per plan.
  • Implement respiratory protection programs, fit testing, and training.
  • Assist operations with respirator management for staff and visitors.
  • Annual plans including noise sampling, chemical exposure sampling, samples to approved labs, identifying individuals requiring medical surveillance following corporate and legal guidelines.
  • Coordinate vendors through vendor management process.
  • Retrain records according to confidentiality requirements.
  • Flu vaccination program is part of OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE activities.
  • Work with site stakeholders to develop ventilation programs.
  • Communicate ventilation risks.
  • Communicate with site management, EHS team, third parties regarding IH and Occ Medicine plans and results. Communicate with affected workers regarding monitoring results.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3yrs experience in Industrial Hygienist role.
  • Desirable Experience: Degree with certificate, diploma or postgraduate qualifications in Industrial Hygiene.
  • Knowledgeable of legislative requirements relating to EHS and chemicals.
  • Experience with ventilation for contaminant control.

This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong ability to facilitate change, excellent verbal and written communications, attention to detail, ability to influence others and work autonomously. PC literacy with Microsoft Office applications is also required.
