About this role

We are seeking a professional to support the mental well-being of construction industry participants. This is an ACT based, permanent full-time position with excellent benefits.

Our Organisation

A not-for-profit organisation established to provide welfare and support services for those in need within the building and construction industry, their families and the ACT community. Our services include confidential counselling, referrals to mental health and rehabilitation services.

The Role

You will work closely with our General Manager and be part of a fast-paced team. Your main purpose will be to drive sustainable increase in support services, manage relationships and stakeholder engagement. You will help build a sustainable organisation ensuring its charitable mission of providing support to construction industry participants and their families. You will generate new leads, contribute to existing partnership activities, fundraising opportunities, secure sponsorships and oversee event management.

Responsibilities

- Liaise with stakeholders, including construction workers, government and industry bodies
- Complete administrative tasks and governance requirements
- Provide staff leadership and supervision
- Deliver presentations, run regular events and on-site activities
- Provide administrative support and limited financial delegations,
- Manage resources to increase support services

Requirements

You have proven experience in stakeholder management, partnership development, and event management coupled with strong administrative skills. Ideally you have worked within a NFP or union, are passionate about mental health and well-being in the construction industry.

Additional skills you will offer include:

- Ability to manage priorities and work autonomously
- Collaborative team leadership and organisational management
- Flexible and mature mindset with a measured approach within a reactive environment
- Financial management skills
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with people from a range of backgrounds
- A commitment to improving mental health in the construction industry
- Current driver's license and a willingness to drive for the role.
- Working with vulnerable people check and police check are required

Key Responsibilities:
