The Role: This role is for a shift worker position, working primarily evening shifts on a casual basis to assist adults affected by family violence through the provision of information, assessment, brief-intervention, and other appropriate trauma-informed responses.
Ability to work at times autonomously, with on call support.
Provide specialist assessment as part of the government integrated Safe at Home response.
Duties Assist adults to recover from their experience of family violence through the provision of information, assessment, counselling, referrals, group work, and other appropriate forms of therapeutic intervention.
Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of programs and group sessions.
Provide information and support, referral and advice to clients and other service providers.
Assess and monitor the ongoing risk and safety needs of the adults affected by family violence who access the service.
Identify, develop, provide, or refer to appropriate services required to meet the needs of adults affected by family violence.

The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) team: Work within a small supportive team of Family Violence specialists.
Engage with a range of services across government/non-government sector.
Focus on ongoing professional and career development Details of appointment: Fixed term, casual, shift worker (fully rotational) position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for twelve months.notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,834 to $111,364 per annum Pro rata.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $46.52 to $70.17 per hour.
None of the salary benefits apply.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022 Allowances: You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility: Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or in the case of self-regulated allied health professions with either full membership or eligible for membership with the relevant professional association Current Working with Children Registration Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
