
Adult Violence Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Adult Violence Specialist to join our team in addressing the complex needs of adults affected by family violence. This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in working with vulnerable populations, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide information, assessment, brief intervention, and other appropriate trauma-informed responses to adults affected by family violence.
- To assist adults in recovering from their experience of family violence through the provision of counseling, referrals, group work, and other forms of therapeutic intervention.
- To contribute to and participate in the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of programs and group sessions.
- To provide information and support, referral, and advice to clients and other service providers.
- To assess and monitor the ongoing risk and safety needs of adults affected by family violence who access the service.
- To identify, develop, provide, or refer to appropriate services required to meet the needs of adults affected by family violence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study.
- Registration with the relevant National Board or self-regulated allied health profession membership or eligibility for membership.
- A current Working with Children Registration.
- Licenses that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times while employed in this role.
