Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing Specialist Role

At a leading financial institution, we aim to empower individuals to achieve their financial goals. As an Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's operations comply with relevant regulations.

This is a standalone position based in our vibrant office location, where you will work across two dynamic businesses - stockbroking and OTC derivatives - within a highly respected program.

You will be responsible for being the primary point of contact for all business dealings with AUSTRAC, reporting regularly to relevant boards and senior management, and ensuring compliance with AML/CTF obligations for both businesses.

Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining internal policies, procedures, and systems for AML/CTF compliance, as well as monitoring relevant legislation and performing controls testing.

We are looking for a skilled professional with 3-5 years' experience as an AML/CTF officer and a relevant tertiary qualification (business, law, economics etc.).

Our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Australian AML/CTF acts and rules, demonstrated hands-on experience managing relationships with AUSTRAC, and eligibility to work in Australia permanently.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience as an AML/CTF officer
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (business, law, economics etc.)
