Electrical Engineer Job Summary

Highly skilled electrical engineers are sought to design, develop, and implement protection schemes for HV/MV substations, transmission, and distribution networks.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of AS/NZS standards, protection coordination, SCADA integration, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis of HV/MV equipment.

A strong understanding of electrical engineering technologies, industry best practices, and a willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements are essential.

Job Description:

Design and develop protection schemes for HV/MV substations, transmission, and distribution networks.

  • Prepare and review relay protection settings, logic diagrams, and scheme drawings in compliance with AS/NZS standards.
  • Carry out protection coordination studies, short circuit analysis, load flow, and stability studies using industry software.
  • Develop detailed specifications for protective relays, CTs/VTs, circuit breakers, and associated control/protection panels.
  • Liaise with utilities, EPC contractors, and OEMs for protection equipment selection and configuration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of AS/NZS standards and WHS legislation.
  • Skilled in protection coordination, SCADA integration, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis of HV/MV equipment.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering technologies and best practices.
