ClearCompany Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Strategist to lead our Data Capability team in delivering a modern data platform. As a key member of our organization, you will drive best practices for predictive and prescriptive analytics and further develop AI capability.

The successful candidate will have a strong statistics and mathematics background, with experience implementing this knowledge into businesses for the purposes of prescriptive analytics. They will also possess exceptional SQL skills and recent experience using Python and/or R in the data science context.

About You

  1. You will define the vision for data strategy and architecture, aligning to technology, product and strategies.
  2. You will contribute expertise to AI strategy and collaborate with AI vendors to further the data maturity journey.
  3. You will consult widely within the organization to discern high-value data deliverables and incorporate those deliverables into the wider roadmap.
  4. You will be hands-on in the development of data assets, such as ELT pipelines, ML experiments and models.
  5. You will be accountable for the performance, reliability and cost of all components of the data platform.
  6. You will maintain positive relationships with vendors, advocating your best interests with respect to contract renewals, product enhancements and platform issues.
  7. You will maintain a highly motivated and engaged team, with low attrition and high degree of accountability and ownership.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrated experience using the Databricks platform, particularly with regard to machine learning functionality.
  2. Strong statistics and mathematics background, with demonstrated experience implementing this knowledge into businesses for the purposes of prescriptive analytics.
  3. Exceptional SQL skills, alongside strong and recent experience using Python and/or R in the data science context.
  4. Knowledge of data integration patterns and platforms, including iPaaS and database replication platforms.
  5. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and practices, with a preference for experience and certification within the AWS ecosystem.
  6. Deep experience advancing data maturity in a medium-to-large sized organization, including business intelligence and AI.
  7. Experience leading a dedicated data team.
  8. Recent, demonstrable hands-on experience with data technologies.
