**Job Title:** Aboriginal Cultural Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our engagement and wellbeing initiatives for Aboriginal children and young people.

The successful applicant will work across Engagement and Wellbeing, leading advice, consultation, policy and practice to drive outcomes for our Aboriginal children and young people and their families.

This is a full-time contract role (1.0 FTE), initial 12-month term contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with relevant local Aboriginal community members in South Australia, the department's Aboriginal Education directorate, and be an active member of the Support and Inclusion Aboriginal leaders group.
  • Develop and implement culturally responsive policy, practice, and programs that meet the needs of Aboriginal students and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure Aboriginal students are central to the design and delivery of culturally responsive policy, practice, and broad work of Engagement and Wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in policy and practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Cert IV or higher education qualification in education, human or community services, or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership and management training.
Benefits:
  • A competitive salary range of $121,107 - $125,679 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
