**Job Opportunity: Aboriginal Cultural Support Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally sensitive individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Cultural Support Specialist.

  • This role involves working closely with Aboriginal families to provide tailored support and guidance, focusing on the health, development, and well-being of children and their families.
  • The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Aboriginal cultures, including history, kinship systems, and family structures, and be able to effectively communicate with and build trust among Aboriginal families.
  • Key responsibilities include developing connections with Aboriginal communities, identifying and addressing access barriers, and providing culturally safe practices within the organization.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • A strong knowledge of Aboriginal cultures, histories, and family structures, including the ability to understand and navigate complex kinship systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with Aboriginal families and community members.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable populations, including children and families experiencing adversity.
  • A proven track record of developing effective relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
