Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented musician to join our Police Band as a Musician (Drum Kit & Percussion).

  • The successful applicant will contribute to the positive promotion of the NSW Police Force through community engagement by performing as a musician in the NSW Police Band and its various ensembles.

This role involves performing at events, parades, and other engagements, as well as participating in rehearsals and musical activities. You will be required to work with police officers, youth, and members of the community in a positive and professional manner, fostering good relationships and promoting the values of the NSW Police Force.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a high level of commitment, accountability, punctuality, deportment, and presentation. You should also be adaptable and able to perform in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.

In addition to your musical skills, it is desirable that you possess additional skills which can be adapted to contribute to the promotional, logistical, and administrative functions of the Band. Examples include holding a Medium and Light Rigid Driver's Licence, arranging, composition, internet/social media, recording/sound, instrument repair, video, photography, and graphic arts.
