**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a **Band Member - Musician (Drum Kit & Percussion) **to be part of our New South Wales Police Band, Public Affairs Branch team. The Band Member contributes to the positive promotion of the NSWPF through community engagement by performing as a musician in the NSW Police Band (a Wind Orchestra) and its various ensembles.
- This position attracts an allowance for doubling on a second musical instrument as well as a weekly laundry allowance._

**Target Question 1**:
In addition to consistent and ongoing professional skills on your primary instrument, Musicians in the NSW Police Band are expected to perform in our full Wind Band, Parade Band and smaller ensembles. Musicians are expected to be punctual, well groomed, accountable and able to take directions from management, as well as be able to perform in a wide range of situations.

Please demonstrate how your experiences can successfully adapt to our needs.

**Target Question 2**:
It is highly desirable that our musicians possess additional skills that can be adapted to contribute to the functions of the Band. These skills may include doubling/secondary instruments, singing, arranging, use of Music Software, Medium/Heavy Vehicle Driving and Social Media.

Please outline any additional skills and experiences, you may have, that could contribute to the success of the Band.
