As a specialist consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering a dementia support program, working collaboratively to improve lives and implement best practices.

Job Description

  • Support individuals, families, and caregivers to understand the impact of dementia on each person.
  • Develop resources and behaviour support plans to prevent and respond to behaviour changes.
  • Conduct holistic assessments to understand the experience of individuals and their care networks.

Requirements

  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
  • Experience in residential aged care and/or community aged care.
  • High level negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

What You Will Achieve

  • Equip carers and clinicians to provide effective support.
  • Develop reports that effect change on the ground and improve quality of life for people living with dementia.
  • Undertake assessments to inform individualised care plans.
