Apply your expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches to develop practical strategies for preventing, minimizing, or responding to changes in behavior related to dementia.

  • Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts each individual.
Key Responsibilities
  • Equip carers and clinicians to prevent and respond to behavior changes through coaching, development of resources, and behaviour support planning.
  • Develop reports that are contextualized to individual situations and people, effectively driving change and improving quality of life.
  • Conduct assessments to understand the holistic experience of the person and their care network.
  • Collaborate with the broader Dementia Support Australia team to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
  • Contribute to research projects and work innovatively to meet the changing needs of the sector.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and community aged care.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Current Australian drivers license and willingness to travel.
