
Dementia Consultant Lead

Apply your expertise in assessment and biopsychosocial approaches to develop practical strategies for preventing, minimizing, or responding to changes in behavior related to dementia.
- Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts each individual.
- Equip carers and clinicians to prevent and respond to behavior changes through coaching, development of resources, and behaviour support planning.
- Develop reports that are contextualized to individual situations and people, effectively driving change and improving quality of life.
- Conduct assessments to understand the holistic experience of the person and their care network.
- Collaborate with the broader Dementia Support Australia team to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
- Contribute to research projects and work innovatively to meet the changing needs of the sector.
- Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
- Experience in Australian residential aged care and community aged care.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Current Australian drivers license and willingness to travel.
We value empathy, patience, and a passion for delivering exceptional care. Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care, or Mental Health are essential for this role.
