Job Title

A seasoned Building Surveyor is required to undertake various tasks in the Queanbeyan Palerang Local Government Area.

  • Assist in undertaking the function of a building certifier.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the assessment and management of construction certificates, complying development certificates, and Occupation Certificates.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with relevant certification standards and legislation. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accreditation as a Building Surveyor – Restricted (all classes of building) or higher, in accordance with the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018.
  • Expertise in applying relevant certification standards and legislation, including the National Construction Code, Local Government Act, Swimming Pools Act, and NSW Environmental Planning legislation.
  • Proven commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
