Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Project Officer, Learning and Development. This is an identified position aimed at increasing employment opportunities for Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop training programs that support Aboriginal cultural capability and awareness
  • Facilitate purpose-built training that embeds cultural competency and brings two worlds together
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the Department's Aboriginal Self-Determination Strategy
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of current challenges, issues, opportunities, and community aspirations amongst Aboriginal Victorian communities
  • Extensive experience in facilitation, using knowledge of cultural and communication sensitivities
  • Capability development - demonstrated experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning and organisational development programs and initiatives
  • An appropriate qualification in a field such as learning and development, organisational development, education, or a related discipline
