As a Trade Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by implementing and maintaining robust trade compliance practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international trade regulations and be able to interpret complex policies and procedures. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Australian, U.S., and European export control rules and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all projects and business support functions comply with export control rules and regulations
  • Conducting internal compliance reviews and audits, as well as spot checks on processes and trade compliance data integrity
  • Providing training on export control and global trade matters to project teams
  • Reporting non-compliance, corrective actions, and impact to management

Requirements for the role include:

  • Current Australian security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • 3-4 years of experience in international trade compliance, export controls
  • Experience with Australian and U.S. export controls laws and overall compliance

Apart from having a strong understanding of trade regulations, the successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to provide guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
