Enhancing Lives of Individuals with Disabilities

This is a casual role within our community services department, requiring empathy and a commitment to supporting those with disabilities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, promoting independence, community participation and social interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities according to their individualised NDIS plans.
  2. Assist clients with daily activities while promoting independence and community participation.
  3. Support clients in developing life skills, including personal care, household tasks and social interactions.
  4. Implement strategies to address challenging behaviours and promote positive outcomes for clients.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on client progress and any incidents or concerns.
  6. Engage with clients in a respectful and person-centred manner to understand their needs and preferences.
  7. Deliver high-quality support services that align with the goals outlined in each client's NDIS plan.
  8. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, families and other service providers to ensure holistic care for clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Empathy and compassion when working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Knowledge of NDIS plans and policies.
