Job Title: Principal Clinical Adviser, Office of the Chief Psychiatrist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Adviser to join our team in the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert clinical advice and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health and wellbeing services across the Victorian health system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective clinical advice to inform policy and service development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and external partners
  • Represent the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist on key stakeholder committees and groups
  • Design and deliver projects that improve mental health service delivery and outcomes
  • Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve high-quality results
  • Provide strategic thinking and future planning to inform change management initiatives

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified mental health clinician with appropriate registration
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the clinical mental health and wellbeing service system
  • High level of understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks
