Government Relations Specialist

About the Position
The Policy and Government Relations Manager will play a key role in building relationships with state and federal government, focusing on key political issues affecting NFIA members.
As a newly created role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a passionate and driven CEO.
Duties Include:
- Manage relationships with State and Federal Governments, Ministers, MPs and Agencies.
- Develop high-quality submissions and strategic responses to industry issues.
- Act as a spokesperson for the association and industry at meetings and roundtable discussions.
- Develop member communications on government changes.
- Manage and attend NFIA's Policy and Advocacy Committee meetings.
- Engage and manage relationships with NFIA Members across Queensland.
Requirements
- Proven experience in policy and advocacy.
- Understanding of government structure and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, government, industry, and other stakeholders.
