Job Overview

The Design Manager will lead design efforts for transformative, large-scale projects in the power transmission and distribution industry.

This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the design of multi-billion-dollar projects in the power, transmission, and distribution sectors.

  1. Provide overall direction to design teams working on protection schemes, control systems, relays, panels, wiring diagrams, and associated high-voltage secondary systems.
  2. Ensure all designs are optimised for cost, safety, and functionality.

Required Skills:

  • Experience managing the design process for large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, including coordinating design teams focused on secondary protection and control systems.
  • Proven expertise in industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to secondary substation design.
  • Strong design management skills, with experience guiding diverse engineering teams to achieve complex project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve project milestones.
  2. Develop and review protection and control design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for substation secondary systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
