The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development is seeking an experienced program coordinator to drive the delivery of Australia's New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES).

This EL2 Director role will oversee the establishment of the NVES within existing and new vehicle regulation systems and policies. You will lead a small team of officers with skillsets in coordination, secretariat, and change management.

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate your capability against the EL2 Work level standards. This includes establishing and maintaining key strategic relationships with stakeholders, developing and maintaining a healthy project architecture, and being responsible for the NVES Project Schedule.

You will work closely with project leads and responsible project officers to ensure issues are identified early and resolved or flagged in the appropriate fora. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large and/or complex government projects.

This role requires strong examples of coordinating complicated change and delivery within diverse environments. You will be comfortable working adaptively using agile routines and methods to drive clear deliverables within dedicated timeframes.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $139,418 - $166,758 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation. The department supports workplace diversity and values the contribution of people from diverse backgrounds.
