About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Debt Capital Markets Origination Specialist to join our team at MUFG Securities Asia Limited Australia. As a key member of our origination team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative loan and bond financing solutions to borrowers and sponsors in the Oceania region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of investor and project finance sponsor requirements to assess and take underwriting risk and ensure successful syndication of all project finance transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and other stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provide support to senior origination team members in opportunity identification, financial analysis, pricing, and liquidity insights, as well as syndication and execution strategy.
  • Oversee preparation of underwriting applications, deal screening support memos, and other internal requirements to facilitate seamless deal execution.
  • Drive various debt capital markets project finance syndicate initiatives to deliver on the team's revenue goals, including evaluating bespoke deal opportunities, new distribution pathways, and emerging business lines.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in banking and finance, with a focus on project finance and debt capital markets.
  • Degree-level education from a leading university, with a strong understanding of global capital markets products and investors.
  • CFA certification is highly desirable.
