The Role

We're seeking an experienced Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving reliability, scalability, and innovation, influencing changes in our IT infrastructure and Service Management processes. You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to support our IT and business strategy for x15.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the GMs for SRE teams within the bank to share lessons learnt and best practices through x15's implementation
  • Passion for Service Management – Incident Management, Problem Management, BCP
  • Contribute and create documentation to keep them current
  • Own technical key controls including PagerDuty, assurances within our risk platform (xGraph) for our engineers
  • Use engineering principles, coding and automation to build resilient and self-healing systems
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the SRE and DevOps community
Requirements
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in software engineering with a keen mindset to IT Operations, Systems reliability, versioning and DevOps
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience with public cloud provisioning using IaC such as Bicep (ARM), Terraform, Cloud Formation, CDK
  • Proven technical experience in managing complex distributed systems with API design and integration
  • Experience in setting up modern DevOps using GitHub Actions and or Azure DevOps, Code Pipelines, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Jenkins etc
