About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Principal Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and innovation in our IT infrastructure. As a key member of the Platform Operations team, you'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to support our common IT & business strategy for x15.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of strategic plans for reliability, scalability, and innovation in IT infrastructure
  • Collaborate with GMs for SRE teams within the bank to share best practices and lessons learned
  • Implement modern DevOps practices using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure current and accurate information

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on IT operations, systems reliability, versioning, and DevOps
  • 4-5 years of experience with public cloud provisioning using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) such as Bicep (ARM), Terraform, Cloud Formation, CDK
  • Proven technical experience in managing complex distributed systems with API design and integration
  • Experience with monitoring tools and services, such as ELK stack
  • Familiarity with Atlassian dev tools suite (Confluence, JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket)
  • AWS, Azure Certification highly regarded
