Full Time Accounting Professional

- Weekly payroll processing is key to this position, ensuring accurate payment of wages, superannuation, and industry-related levies with up-to-date knowledge of awards.
- Assist the accountant with month-end and year-end reporting, including journal entries, accounts reconciliation, and other tasks as requested.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, petty cash, and banking duties.
- Handle Work Health & Safety matters, including investigation reports, claims to insurers, and liaison between the insurer, employee, and management until closure.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and answer incoming calls as needed.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with financial reporting and accounts reconciliation.
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Preferred experience with Employment Hero Payroll/HR software but not essential.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
- Ability to work from an office based in Sydney.
- Working towards or fully qualified CPA with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- A team player with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
